Introducing Obtuse!

Like many of you, I absolutely, positively, unashamedly LOVE the gorgeous softies designed by Melly & Me. My favourite is Acute, and I bought the pattern for him yonks ago but only recently had a go at making my own little Acute - it is quite daunting to try and replicate something that looks so darling!

So, I'd started making mine and then I saw that Melly & Me were auctioning some of their softies & patterns to raise $$$ for the Red Cross Victorian Bushfire Appeal.  I HAD to bid on Acute, and eventually, I won him!  Yay!!!!  

Knowing that Acute was on his way to me, I thought I'd better join my little softie up and have a friend ready and waiting for him.  Unfortunately for Acute, thinking about this was as far as I got, so he arrived with a friend still in pieces waiting to be made whole.  Finally, I put his little friend together, and Obtuse was born!  He is nowhere near as perfect as Acute, but they enjoy each others company, and that's the main thing.

Handmade Helps Out is rallying together the creative community and doing some wonderful things to help the bushfire affected community in Victoria.  If you haven't already, go check it out here.  There is so much to be done, and so many little ways that we can all contribute, either by buying ourselves a lovely handmade gift or by making something to donate, or by giving money to the Red Cross.
